I had a great time shooting Heather & Cory’s engagement photos! Heather wanted to get some yellow balloons! How fun is that? very! we had an interesting time at the clown store on the west side, i think it brought us all closer together. The mmoca stairs is one of the best places for indoor photos in Madison. Then we headed to a park where i think heather’s hair did this beautiful feather/wind look. I look forward to Heather & Cory’s wedding, they are going to make a super awesome photo station! Yesssss!

I know there is a fancy word for outdoor eating. And I can’t remember it. I googled outdoor eating. It didn’t show up. I did some photos for the isthmus last week. It was an outdoor eating extravaganza between Magnus & Osteria Papavero. & super awesome. I didn’t eat anything cause I was taking photos (it looked delicious & fun!) but I did do a little drinking. The white sangria wine was my favorite. I think it was white sangria wine.
Everyone was really nice to me also. I liked it.

Kristi & Matt were married on May 22.2010. The wedding was at the the Press House at the University & reception at the Concorse Hotel. We went to the union for a some photos and also to some downtown bars for some drinking! Kristi was great to work with! She was so easy & laid back. You could tell how happy she was all day! It’s great to be around happy people. Kristi & Matt make a great couple.

I loved Ann & Tom’s wedding with all my heart! We met an hour before the ceremony to take photos of just Ann & Tom, which was so fun! We went to the Crystal Corner, Mickey’s, and some other cute locations on Willy St. If I could do this with every wedding couple I would be the happiest wedding photographer in the world.
The ceremony & reception were at the Goodman Center. The fire trucks maybe stopped by but there were no fires. Just kids & fire alarms.
Ann was a very happy bride and Tom would look at her all day very romantically…it was really cute. I bet he looks at her that way at home when they are eating frozen pizza together.
Thanks for having me at your wedding! I’ll probably see you around. We should do a shot together if I see you at the bar!

I went to Portland after the Seattle trip. I took a train and read “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett. It was a great book! You should probably read this book.
MY SISTER HAD A BABY! it’s very exciting! she’s the first in our family so i guess she wins, right! first place sara! Mostly I went to Portland to meet this Leo baby. He was born on April 4. he came about one month early and it’s a really great story. Sara & Andy were in Seattle at her friends roller derby bout and her water broke! they didn’t want to have the baby anywhere but portland so they drove all the way home but didn’t call anyone cause they didn’t want anyone to tell them to go to the nearest hospital. This story might be better when sara tells it. Everything worked out, he was yellow or something. and maybe now he’s not.
he’s small, very small. but not like so small he has to be in the hospital. just small cause he is a baby. i was scared to pick him up right away.
I took photos of him being a baby. The one where he is on the side table…andy was right there. and i think he even caught him. like it’s that far to really fall! Sara was pretty relaxed about being a new mom i think. we went grocery shopping and out to breakfast. where i had a bloody mary, my new favorite hobby! She got her hair cut and I would walk around the halls of the building putting leo in cute locations for photos.
i heart portland!

\

Emma & her mom Penny were a delight & a joy. I think they might even be friends in their regular life.
We went to the union and made a couple other stops along the way. Oh, and yes to the lake. There was some trespassing. But it’s fine, I promise.
What high school do you go to? Marshall High School
What are your plans for next year? Next year I plan to attend the University of Minnesota-TwinCities and majoring in Communications and minoring in Spanish
Any fun stories from your senior photo session? Trespassing in backyards to get pictures by the water in my rainboots or climbing down rocks by the union, thinking forsure I was going to fall.
What is one of your favorite senior memories? going to a Hawaiian/Beach themed student section dress up night at a boys basketball game, dressed as a tacky tourist. We had floaties and a mini pool…we went all out for the occasion.

I went to Seattle last week. There are some parts about me that really hate seattle. I used to live there (for really only one year.) and i had this terrible job at the one hour photo place, i didn’t make any friends, and i felt lost everytime I would try to drive in the city. Randy lives in Seattle right now because he’s going to school so i visit him sometimes. I think i liked it this time more than any other time i’ve ever been there. The weather was nice for at least 2 days! and we went for bike rides, had fun adventures, and even played outdoor ping pong. man, madison should get some outdoor ping pong. i would be there all the time!

Flora was great. I think she got my jokes and i like that. and she was funny too…but like quiet funny or something. Flora was maybe more excited to go running than have her senior photos taken but she really stepped it up!
What high school do you go to? Madison West High School
favorite memory from your senior year? Getting the news that she’d been accepted early decision to the college she wants to attend
what are you doing next year? Attending Haverford College, outside Philadelphia
do you have a favorite memory from the photo day? (The mom is asking Flora these questions, i imagine they are sitting in the kitchen with Glee on in the background.) “During the photo shoot, she remembers some funny things you said– that she looked like an amputee (because she kept putting her arm behind her back), but then you said that amputees are in right now! I don’t know if you’ll want to include these comments on your website, but I think both helped Flora laugh and relax! So maybe you’ll want to generalize and say she remembers some weird and hilarious humor during the photo taking!”

Tina moved to Charlette, North Carolina. She works at the Adams Outdoor billboard company as a art director. that’s super fancy. She got to have a billboard in her town welcoming her…as you can see below. I’m super jealous cause maybe it’s a dream of mine to get on a billboard and i don’t see that happening if tina doesn’t live here. I could’ve been so many people on a billboard: maybe a doctor’s assistant or like a watering a plant, a customer eating a hamburger! really, i’m so versatile. oh, right, this isn’t about me, it’s about tina.
So it’s sad she moved cause we had some good times together. I started looking for photos to go along with this billboard and i found about 46 photos to put up. But i thought that might be weird…this already is a little weird. but there are so many fun times. we did this Door Country trip and then that awesome night at the woody annes bar and there were so many halloween photos that didn’t make it up. it’s her favorite holiday. i should interview her for this blog posting!
Tina loves North Carolina and that’s good but i was expecting her to hate and move back maybe. she’s into okra and trying to say, “ya’ all” now.
I took the billboard photo, that’s fun. her worker friend Curtis designed it. go team!

I photographed Jared last summer. I also did his sister’s senior photos the year before. It was nice to see the Valyo family from Dodgeville again! The mom Valyo is probably the nicest mom in the history of the world. I was thinking there should probably be a facebook fan page for her. there might be one already. We mostly stayed on the eastside of Madison having some fun photo adventures.
Some questions to Jared:
what high do you go to? I go to Dodgeville High School
favorite memory from your senior year? our band trip down to Florida to play at Disney
what are you doing next year? I am going to the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities to study mathematics and economics
do you have a favorite memory from the photo day? it was funny when I took pictures under the beehive without even realizing it was up there!
note from me about the beehive: he did not get stung but I do think I made him stay up there to get a few more shots.

It’s starting to be senior photo time! I love shooting senior photos, it’s like going on a little afternoon/morning adventure. I’m going to start putting up some of my senior photo sessions from 2008-2009. I’ve sent out a couple questions to the seniors to see what going on with them.
Here is Julie, she graduated in 2008. We had a great time. When I started shooting seniors I thought it was going to be really awkward but they are real people and we’ve had some good/real conversations. Oh, and if a parent shows up I’m so surprised how much I like the moms! I don’t remember liking my friends parents this much in high school.
What HS did you go to? I went to Mineral Point High
Favorite part of your senior year? My favorite part of senior year was just how close my grade was, we could all hang out and it not be awkward at all…we would gather at one friends house and just do some hilarious things or we’d drive around and “terrorize” the town is what we called it. I was able to walk around/leave the school and not get caught. I loved our Senior Camp Out as well.
What are you doing now? I am currently at UW Milwaukee! Majoring in Journalism..I want to own a restaurant as well-aah.
What was your favorite senior photo or memory from the day? My favorite photo was the sepia tinted water shot, I used it on my invites. Everyone loved it! I liked all of them though, so it was extremely hard to choose. I guess, now that I think about it, I have a few favorites haha! I was so nervous the day of the pictures, but I just kept telling you stories so it turned out fine!

Jennyface & I went to Monroe on vaca last week. I love to go on Wisconsin holidays. Mostly we went to eat lunch at my favorite- Baumgartners! They love cheese in Monroe & so do I. I had a cup of chili & a cheese sandwhich. From there we hit the hot spots in Monroe: the brewing company, swiss colony outlet stores, and maybe a couple more beers around town. Later in the afternoon we spent $11.50 on cheese curds. They were good but not $11.50 good. These were not from Baumgartners.
maybe skip work tomorrow!

I shot brett newski this weekend for the isthmus. the story is about how he is going to start booking shows for the Pub on state st. I think. I got there a little early and found some fun locations within a blocks radius. The photos in front of the actual Pub sign were a total bust. I hope they don’t use those in the paper.
brett does some fun things in life I learned. like he is in a famous band. i decided he’s famous. he might not be. he goes to the gym on sunday afternoons and started his own graphic design business. that makes him an entrepreneur! to stalk brett start here:
http://www.yespleasemedia.com/
I’ve decided i”m gong to try to write more on the blog, words are not my strongest…strongest whatever. do people want to hear words? maybe. you always skip over them right?

I got to shoot a cute cute baby! she was 3 months old. I couldn’t believe how easy it was, she didn’t even cry once. I think the camera really loves her.

randy came home for spring break so we really lived in up in the dells. that’s what we do, go to the dells & we love it. randy is lucky he is so cute in pink. because pink is awesome.

I took a photo everyday for the last year! I started on January 8, 2009 and ended on January 7, 2010. I think i meant to start on January 1st. I guess i forgot. My rules were I could take any many photos I wanted and to pick out the one photo of the day. Sometimes I would use also use a series of photos. It was fun! The other part that was good about it was it kept me organized with my personal photos and gave me more of purpose to take personal photos. Sometimes I think of all my photos on the hard drive just sitting there. They are sad to be there but I’m not sure where else they should go.
With the photos a day I labeled the people in the photos, you know most of the time. Randy came out in first place. mostly because he’s so photogenic and maybe cause he’s around the most. He got in 66 photos. Second was Tina with 23, Me and Orange & White tied with 22, and dude with 17. Dude is just random guys, usually a bit older and usually strangers. Weird that i’m taking all these dude photos.
I didn’t post all the photos here, here are just some of my favorites.

I was in Edgerton, Mn for christmas! it was snowy and cold. We were snowed in on christmas but the other days we got out and did some fun things. like bowling and going into town for coffee. oh, and the bakery! If you are ever in the area you should visit my parents. They will like it. You might drink some coffee if you stop by in the morning or some miller lights if it’s in the evening. ox sv

Chris & Shawn got married on August 22, 2009 in Spring Green! It was a beautiful wedding. The wedding and reception were at the same location, Hiltop. There were 3 separate locations on the grounds. The wedding was under this giant tree then everyone moved down to the dinner. The dance was down the hill under lighted lanterns. It was so romantic and perfect. Chris wore a striped seersucker suit that was cute cute cute and Shawn made her own dress! she has some hella dress making skills! They both have some great families & friends. I bet they danced until 2am!

My friend Hannah is going to have a baby and it’s very exciting! I was going to post the pregnant photo of hannah on the railroad tracks and then i thought i could put a couple more up because I usually take her photo when we are hanging out. Sometimes I like the photos.
The one on the railroad tracks was taken during work. It worked out really well that the window washers were there. I had him hold the background. he was very cooperative. He is not the dad of the baby. That is David. I guess he isn’t in in any of the photos. You would like him. I think he can do the splits. I’ve heard.

I’ve had a couple photos on billboards! I wish I could get orange & white on a billboard, that is when I will know I have made it! Here are two that were on the belt line, the Art Bernard photo was up this summer and John, barber extraordinaire, is up right now! Mostly it’s just a headshot that ends up really really big. It’s exciting.

Kristen & Josh were so great to work with! They are quality people and everything they do should work out. According to me. Also they are passionate about their hobbies. I’m sure they have more hobbies than I know but they love love love baseball and beer. Mostly we would talk about beer because I know more about that than baseball. I wonder what their other passions are. I should ask them.
I thought they did some really funny things for their wedding. I guess not funny ha ha….but funny. Neither of them live in Milwaukee but they got it in their heads to have the reception at a piano bar in Milwaukee so they did. And they also had the formal photos at 8:30 am which is nothing I have ever heard of. And no apologies from them about that….8:30, see you then. That’s awesome.
The piano bar was super awesome! people loved it. I loved it! and I love a wedding that happens during daylight hours. It was perfect really.

I was going to sell my 4×5 camera to this girl Erin so i had to get it out and make sure it was working fine. After I got the film back I was so excited and then really sad I was selling it. I had all these thoughts of doing 4×5 projects and being awesome. Since then I’ve lost Erin and i’m pretty sure she’s not buying my camera. (Erin! do you still want to buy this camera??) I doubt i’m really going to do these 4×5 projects. but right now i’ve got some cute photos of Randy wearing a pink sweatshirt! oh and there are a few shots on a medium format camera….these are pretty much the only film shots i’ve done since 2004 I bet.

I shot Jill & Nick’s engagement photos in the Willy St. area and then we went to the water. Jill bid on the engagement session at a silent auction, and won! I wonder if it felt like winning to her? They are a totally cute couple. Our first scheduled session was rained out and Jill wanted her people in Texas to know Wisconsin has nice weather. We were all happy the sun came out a couple days later. WISCONSIN IS THE BEST! (mostly.)

Erin & Jim! They got married on August 9, 2009 at Quivey’s Grove. It was a very design-y with the fun colors they used. I loved their wedding and everyone was having a great time! Erin made her own dress. After she put it on she said something like, “I feel like a cupcake!” and how fun would it be feeling like a cupcake? probably a lot. It was a beautiful day, maybe a little warm but one of those days where a beer would taste really delicious. I did not drink any beers.

I took a trip to the chicago to go to the pitchfork music festival with some friends.
highlights from the trip include:
1. justin got a really awesome parking spot in chicago so we did some tailgating before going into the show.
2. dancing
3. getting backstage with my smooth moves! backstage is sorta fun cause I got there but then kinda lonely b/c i was alone.
4. jenny does her make up and then we did a cute little photo shoot in her urban garden!
5. I found some new bands i’m going to get into like Matt & Kim and Beirut.
6. When Jenny was returning a salad at a coffeeshop because it was all moldy this cute bird came to the table!

could anything be cuter than than this?
probably not.

I shot Alyss’s senior photos! She’s play the violin and that’s pretty awesome. another awesome thing about Alyssa is that she has 2 different eye colors! We had some good times exploring Madison.

I took Shawn & Chris’s engagement photos a couple weeks ago. They were really good in front of the camera are into fun. Their wedding is next weekend in Spring Green and I think it’s going to be a really good one! We took the photos at the Kohl Center, State St. & The Union. At the Kohl center we were reenacting their first photo together, I wonder how accurate we were. I’m going to guess not very. There were up for anything, i love that.

Emma & Chris had a beautiful outdoor wedding in Dekalb, Il. at the cournty club. The ceremony and reception site were beautiful. The bride and groom were beautiful. Is it ok to call a groom beautiful? maybe he was handsome. Emma had this great 40′s look and I loved watching her get her hair done. Emma-if your look was not a 40′s look, sorry! maybe it was 30′s or 50′s. Mostly I’m just quessing.

Last night Randy & I went to see these bike dancers! they had super cute outfits and did a synchronized dance with bikes. is anything cooler than that? probably not. They also promoted group dancing. i like that.
you can see their website here: http://www.sprockettes.org

Autumn & Tyson got married on June 13! The ceremony was in their backyard and it was so beautiful! So many cute details it felt like a magazine wedding. The wedding planners made everything go so smoothly. After the ceremony everyone went to Sweet Sophies in Waunakee for the reception. I loved shooting their wedding and think Autumn & Tyson are top notch people plus they are super cute together! One of my favorite stories at their wedding was that I was shooting the cake cutting and after it was all over I asked “how was the cake?” and I think Autumn said, “it’s delicious, do you want to try it?” i said no thank you. how funny is that?

I met Alicia & Anthony in Sun Prairie on Sunday for their engagement photos. It was nice getting to know Alicia & Anthony, they went along with all my ideas even though it was a little warm and buggy out!

I went to Stoughton with hannah and david to the demolition derby. it was pretty awesome. I ate a cream puff and hannah & david had cheese curds and a corn dog. we meant it.

I took Sophie’s senior photos the other day. I think we had some good adventures on the East side. Senior photos are some of my most favorite photos to take. I still have some sessions available! call to set up a session.

Becky & Bennett were married on 6.6.09. They had a morning wedding at the capitol and then a brunch at the Sardine restaurant. The whole day just felt right. They know how to have a successful wedding. (you know according to me whatever that means.) They were relaxed and had a good time! excellent job team!

Kristal, Tina, & I went to pick some strawberries and then make some of the most delicious daqueries ever. There were some adventures and photo taking. 2 of my favorite activies!

Mary & Troy got married on May 30, 2009! I’m not very good at keeping up on my blogging. I’m going to be on my A game starting now!
They got married at the Lake Front Brewery in Milwaukee, Wi. The building and area around the brewery was super awesome to shoot around. Mary & Troy get first place for the shortest ceremony ever. You know if there was a contest or something.

I shot a family photo a couple weeks ago. I really liked the family, they were totally into fun. they even did some handstands!

Chris Klinge and I did some photo testing at the studio the other day. We used a ring flash from our photographer friend Chris Hynes. First we went to st. vinny’s to buy some fun outfits. it turns out they don’t have much fun stuff for boys. or at least in the chris klinge size. i maybe had him wearing this awesome lepard print outfit and in the middle of shooting he told me I was not allowed to use those photos. what a party pooper huh?
The photo of me is shot by Chis klinge:
http://www.giraffeboyproductions.com/

I shoot some photos of India and Ali for MomentumMagazine.
http://www.momentumplanet.com/
India and Ali teach classes on bike mechanics. You can see their website here:
http://www.weareallmechanics.com/
I waited with them at the Willy St. Coop before shooting them and they know everyone and are involved in hella activites. You probably know at least one of them.

I was in my first wedding a couple weeks ago. it was very exciting! I got to wear hot pink and look like 3 other girls and it was a good time. i really thought i might not be into looking like other people but it was quite fun! also our shoes were bight yellow! maybe i didn’t mind looking like the other girls because i would never wear something so loud on my own.
I was only in charge of the getting ready photos and then I only brought my point and shoot! Tina and Pat were so happy the whole day!

Jennyface and I went on vacation to Green Bay about a month ago. i haven’t been very good about blogging so it’s a little late. I guess not that anyone would really know except there is snow in some of the photos. Hightlights of the trip were the amusement park, iced coffee, and the goodwill. I always forget to bring extra shoes and when i hang out with jennyface my shoes always get wet and i buy a new pair at the goodwill. this has happened twice. wet feet are a drag.
we also went to a cheese contest and sampled fancy cheeses and went to the packers tourist store. that’s fun.

I’m going to shoot Becky & Bennett’s wedding in June! After the engagemenet photos we went to the Context store to look at cute boy clothes and Bennett got an awesome pair of jeans that i imagine he’s going to wear everyday for casual friday at the office. Becky was very supportive of the jean buying. i think they make a really great team!

morning time for the bear!

the bear was just at the salon last week and the girls there suggested he switch to a fuller volume shampoo.

the bear usually bikes to work but today he’s running a little behind

the bear has a job as a part time model. he’s so good looking!

it’s time for a smoke break and a red bull!

back to work!

the cute girl bear who works in accounting is to the waving to the bear! the bear has been trying to talk to her for 4 weeks now.

work is done and the bear is excited! skate boarding and baking are some of the bears favorite activities.

the bear can’t decide between a tea or a coffee drink. he did just fill up his coffee card last week so this drink today is free!

he got a mocha! it’s coffee and chocolate. what could be better?

even bears have to do laundry. duh!

the bear feels like everyone is pressuring him into reading “the secret” but mostly all he wants to do is read some magazines.

the bear lost his phone out the bars the other night. he’s going to call home to see if the orange & white is going to be around. the call went something like this, “oh, orange & white, are you really still watching afternoon judge shows?” ” well, i’ll be home soon! lt’s hang out!”

“orange and white i love you.” says the bear. “we have the best times!” oh, by the way, “have you seen my phone around?”

sometimes the bear things, “i wish i had more friends, i can’t believe i don’t really have a full time job like all my bear friends.” but then he thinks, “the cute girl bear waved at me and i’m going to have a delicious salad when i get home!”

the bear goes to a art show he heard about from of the guys at work. he had a cookie at the show with sprinkles on it.

I took a head shot for Katie Krueger because she wrote a book. how cool is that. i’m going to say very. very cool.
I met her a couple years ago because we were on the same kickball team! katie has 4 websites! she must be very busy. i just looked at the http://www.katiekrueger.com/blog. i liked it. here are the other 3:
http://www.FindFundingMagazine.com
http://www.ProjectJapaleGoune.com
http://flickr.com/photos/katiekrueger
she writes grants and does other cool things i’m sure. i kinda think she’s foxy. right?

I went to Puerto Rico in mid February with my sisters. It was the first sister vacation ever. and very awesome. it’s seems like they have the skills that i lack and maybe vice versa. but maybe not. we make a good traveling team. i wonder what they would say.
some of the fun things we did:
1. luminescent bay at the Vieques Island, this island was super fun! the water glows. it’s magical.
2. beach time!
3. drinking some fruity drinks sometimes.
4. walking, moslty i really like just walking around.
5. sometimes we would run if we thought we might be late, it’s still fun though.
6. San Juan was a really cool old town, you can walk anywhere and maybe have fun adventures.

Christina & Dan got married on Jan. 3rd. They were very cool about going outside, no complaints! The wedding was at the Goodman Center which is a really awesome spot for a wedding. There was one issue that during the ceremony there was a big red STOP sign outside the window that ended up in a lot of the ceremony photos. i wonder if anyone noticed?
Christina & Dan were super nice and they have so many friends! #1 hipster wedding.

It’s a band! I would like to do more band photos so i was so happy when the Goat Radio people called me to do photos. I would call them “team” and i think they liked that. maybe. I haven’t seen them play but i imagine they are super fun. I bet they sing romantic songs about girls. maybe not.

holly went snowboarding and broke both of her wrists! she didn’t even make it down the hill her first run.
she does seem very positive about the whole thing. i guess, what else can you do?

Abby turned 18. She brought 9 of her friends to the studio to take some really fun birthday photos.
I liked them. and they had some really good jokes.

I am going to shoot Erin & Jimmy’s wedding this summer. I think they are very fun = very fun wedding. They were up for anything, even on a cold day. That’s what i love, enthusiasm for photos!

I shot the team photos for the Madison roller derby team The Resevoir Dolls.

oh how cute! gary is going on a trip.

I went to minneapolis last weekend to hang out sister theresa and her/my friends. There were a lot of people around so we spend our time waiting…i think we were waiting. I got home and looked at my photos and noticed most of the photos were of people sitting on couches or chairs. there must have been a lot of sitting i suppose.

it’s a pasta party!!

we went rollerskating on saturday night! it’s sorta like dancing with wheels. what could be more fun. i wish i would’ve taken more fun photos but i was so busy rollerskating!
justin took some of these photos. like the ones of me and then some others.

I went to the hometown last week, Nov 11th-ish. there was snow! we would play some games like scrabble and then sometimes we would go into town and go to the bakery.
My dad is really into cutting down trees with his chainsaw and looking for deer out the window.
My mom is into reading the water meter and baking.

jenny and her friend renee came chicago to madison on holiday. we went to darlington, wi and spent most of our time at the bargin nook. it was a very awesome trip.

I was thinking it might be really cute if there was a little song to go along with these photos.
Tina’s neighbor moved them to her yard b/c he thought her dog would eat them. i’m going to say that is just not very nice.

Tina, Pat, and I were in Illinois and i took some engagementy photos of them.
then there was this kid in front of the pet store and he bought a mouse.
that’s pretty awesome.
Tina and Pat are in love.

seriously….probably the cutest

I watched this movie about annie leibowitz and after i was was done watching it Randy was shaving. Annie Leibowitz is this really awesome photographer and then when i do something like watch this really awesome movie about her and then start to think….i should be taking photos all the time! So i took some photos of Randy shaving. And then the next day i brought my camera along to a craft fair that Tina and I went to thinking I was still so inspired….i left my camera in Tina’s car b/c i thought it was too heavy. I was inspired for at least 4-7 hours.

I’m going to be shooting Autumn & Tyson’s wedding next summer, I’m super excited for it!
These are their engagement photos.

I dressed up as lydia from beetlejuice on thurs and then a robot on fri. The robot was a hassle, i had no peripheral vision and felt like i was in the way mosty. but sometimes i would do this robot dance and it was very roboty.
randy is a unicorn!

the karate kid’s & Mr. Miyagi!

cyndi lauder dances with a unicorn. why not?

justin is a uw band flute player!

tina loves halloween more than anyone.
she has a fog machine. thats full on.

professor plum.

I took these photos of Lynal, Hemmingway, and their family last Sunday. The windiest day ever! It even snowed about 14 snowflakes 10 minutes before the shoot happened. They do know a about secret unwindy place which is very awesome. I sorta thought Lynals parents look like they should have have a band together….you know very hip parents.
did i spell lynal’s name right? maybe? cutest boy name ever.

This is Winnie & Dash! They are very cute. My favorite part is that they would sometimes look at me like an adult and very unkid like. i thought it was funny. I think if they could talk they would have some really good jokes. I guess they talk….just not very well. (that’s my joke.)

Amanda & Karl’s wedding! They had their wedding on sept. 20 in a cute barn in brooklyn, wi. it was perfect!

i shot Karl & Amanda’s wedding on Sept 20, 2008. After the wedding Amanda and I were doing some emails. she would tell me stories about kangaroos helping the deaf (or something like that) and i told her about this fox head I bought at an antique store to use for a photo shoot…..one night Amanda & Karl stopped by my house to pick up their wedding photos and i showed them the fox head and we had a brief conversation about how I should display the fox head. (i’m not really going to display it…kinda freaks me out.) she sent me this email the next day:
——————————-
1. Karl and I love the pictures (of course!). We especially love how
they are in those boxes.
2. Our conversation the whole way home last night– starting the
moment we left your house and were walking to the truck:
Amanda: Yay! I’m so excited we have our wedding pictures!
Karl (glancing up at your window): She totally needs to hang that fox
head facing the street.
Amanda: Oh my gosh I cannot wait to look at all of them!
Karl: It would be so cool, just looking out over the street, and you
could completely see it from outside.
Amanda: Which one do you think is your favorite? I love the one of
you waiting for me to come down the aisle.
Karl: She would really just need one more nail. It would be like a
5-second project. Should I offer to hang it up for her?
Amanda: This is so exciting! Our wedding pictures!
Karl: But really the thing that would be best is if you had one
person inside with the nail and hammer, and another person outside on
the street so you could position it just right for maximum visibility.

I photographed Nick Mortensen yesterday, he is a comedian here in the Madison. He has a case of the ADHD (right?) and he tells stories fast…. and then we’re on to the next story and the next story… It’s very entertaining. I don’t have to worry about making any small talk.

after the corn maze justin took a photo of jenny in the water. he has this light and the battery pack is sorta worn like a fanny pack. so they were both in the water with the electricity and i thought jenny and justin were for sure going to be electricuted. they weren’t.

we went to the corn maze. it was fun. justin would say things like, “look at the beautiful landscapes.” and then maybe i would say something like, “uh huh.”

they are like a band. a corn maze folk sing’n band.

we went to the drive in on August 22! It was very awesome, well mostly the snacks were awesome. we got nachos. we saw the tropic thunder movie. it was sometimes funny. it looks like i’m more about the snacks than the movie. it might be true.

i’m in this photo show at the common wealth gallery.
you should probably bike down there b/c it’s very romantic with the fall foliage.
i’m thinking i might really get into blogging
i might try to make some really good blogging jokes. I wonder if people will think they are funny. maybe
