Alexandra & Pete had an engagement party on the roof of the MMoCa! It was dreamy. I wish someone would throw a party for me up there. They had this beautiful outdoor couch, it felt like a magazine party. to me. I had a nice time. I think they did too.

Liz & Sean had a delightful wedding at the Overture! Oh, man, that place has the best light ever. i recommend getting married there. or spending an afternoon there looking really good in that beautiful light. I sorta think they might kick you out but give it a go. I think. So I think the week before Sean & Liz’s wedding I was having a down & out week or something…..whoa is me…lame. i know. As soon as I got to their wedding I felt like a million bucks. Yeah! this is it! The whole day felt great-everyone was nice! I want to shoot their wedding everyday!
Liz had a beautiful dress and they had orange as their wedding color. Which is awesome and bizarre. I loved it. Oh, and a game theme! I saw on the facebook that twister showed up after I left. I was a little sad I wasn’t there for that part. This was wedding fun & smart. Just like the Liz & Sean team.

I shot this wedding with the delightful Mike Klaminski! If you like bikes you should hang out with with Mike. He can tell you about being a farmer in Minnesota.
Alyssa and Justin had the some really great wedding style! it was like a magazine wedding. The boys had the best shoes i’ve seen at a wedding! The girls had equally adorable shoes but usually girls do. dear boys, wear cute shoes. i like it.
The reception was at the high noon & they had a taco bar! i love a taco bar, i think about tacos about 20 minutes everyday.
Kristy & Jay got married by the Mississippi River in Dubuque Iowa! It was a beautiful ceremony, beautiful couple, & beautiful details. There was some wind that caused some glass breaking diasters. See-nothing is perfect. I didn’t include any of that in this blog though. Also Kristy & Jay cut little cakes at each table. This is where I learned that the cake cutting people are professionals. But not to worry-it all tastes the same!
Dubuque is the most awesomeness place for photos! old buildings & cobblestone roads! it was a dream really. i could’ve taken photos there all afternoon.
i liked this wedding. yes i did.
I loved Ann & Tom’s wedding with all my heart! We met an hour before the ceremony to take photos of just Ann & Tom, which was so fun! We went to the Crystal Corner, Mickey’s, and some other cute locations on Willy St. If I could do this with every wedding couple I would be the happiest wedding photographer in the world.
The ceremony & reception were at the Goodman Center. The fire trucks maybe stopped by but there were no fires. Just kids & fire alarms.
Ann was a very happy bride and Tom would look at her all day very romantically…it was really cute. I bet he looks at her that way at home when they are eating frozen pizza together.
Thanks for having me at your wedding! I’ll probably see you around. We should do a shot together if I see you at the bar!

Chris & Shawn got married on August 22, 2009 in Spring Green! It was a beautiful wedding. The wedding and reception were at the same location, Hiltop. There were 3 separate locations on the grounds. The wedding was under this giant tree then everyone moved down to the dinner. The dance was down the hill under lighted lanterns. It was so romantic and perfect. Chris wore a striped seersucker suit that was cute cute cute and Shawn made her own dress! she has some hella dress making skills! They both have some great families & friends. I bet they danced until 2am!

Kristen & Josh were so great to work with! They are quality people and everything they do should work out. According to me. Also they are passionate about their hobbies. I’m sure they have more hobbies than I know but they love love love baseball and beer. Mostly we would talk about beer because I know more about that than baseball. I wonder what their other passions are. I should ask them.
I thought they did some really funny things for their wedding. I guess not funny ha ha….but funny. Neither of them live in Milwaukee but they got it in their heads to have the reception at a piano bar in Milwaukee so they did. And they also had the formal photos at 8:30 am which is nothing I have ever heard of. And no apologies from them about that….8:30, see you then. That’s awesome.
The piano bar was super awesome! people loved it. I loved it! and I love a wedding that happens during daylight hours. It was perfect really.

Erin & Jim! They got married on August 9, 2009 at Quivey’s Grove. It was a very design-y with the fun colors they used. I loved their wedding and everyone was having a great time! Erin made her own dress. After she put it on she said something like, “I feel like a cupcake!” and how fun would it be feeling like a cupcake? probably a lot. It was a beautiful day, maybe a little warm but one of those days where a beer would taste really delicious. I did not drink any beers.

Emma & Chris had a beautiful outdoor wedding in Dekalb, Il. at the cournty club. The ceremony and reception site were beautiful. The bride and groom were beautiful. Is it ok to call a groom beautiful? maybe he was handsome. Emma had this great 40′s look and I loved watching her get her hair done. Emma-if your look was not a 40′s look, sorry! maybe it was 30′s or 50′s. Mostly I’m just quessing.

Autumn & Tyson got married on June 13! The ceremony was in their backyard and it was so beautiful! So many cute details it felt like a magazine wedding. The wedding planners made everything go so smoothly. After the ceremony everyone went to Sweet Sophies in Waunakee for the reception. I loved shooting their wedding and think Autumn & Tyson are top notch people plus they are super cute together! One of my favorite stories at their wedding was that I was shooting the cake cutting and after it was all over I asked “how was the cake?” and I think Autumn said, “it’s delicious, do you want to try it?” i said no thank you. how funny is that?

Becky & Bennett were married on 6.6.09. They had a morning wedding at the capitol and then a brunch at the Sardine restaurant. The whole day just felt right. They know how to have a successful wedding. (you know according to me whatever that means.) They were relaxed and had a good time! excellent job team!

Mary & Troy got married on May 30, 2009! I’m not very good at keeping up on my blogging. I’m going to be on my A game starting now!
They got married at the Lake Front Brewery in Milwaukee, Wi. The building and area around the brewery was super awesome to shoot around. Mary & Troy get first place for the shortest ceremony ever. You know if there was a contest or something.

I was in my first wedding a couple weeks ago. it was very exciting! I got to wear hot pink and look like 3 other girls and it was a good time. i really thought i might not be into looking like other people but it was quite fun! also our shoes were bight yellow! maybe i didn’t mind looking like the other girls because i would never wear something so loud on my own.
I was only in charge of the getting ready photos and then I only brought my point and shoot! Tina and Pat were so happy the whole day!

Amanda & Karl’s wedding! They had their wedding on sept. 20 in a cute barn in brooklyn, wi. it was perfect!

i shot Karl & Amanda’s wedding on Sept 20, 2008. After the wedding Amanda and I were doing some emails. she would tell me stories about kangaroos helping the deaf (or something like that) and i told her about this fox head I bought at an antique store to use for a photo shoot…..one night Amanda & Karl stopped by my house to pick up their wedding photos and i showed them the fox head and we had a brief conversation about how I should display the fox head. (i’m not really going to display it…kinda freaks me out.) she sent me this email the next day:
——————————-
1. Karl and I love the pictures (of course!). We especially love how
they are in those boxes.
2. Our conversation the whole way home last night– starting the
moment we left your house and were walking to the truck:
Amanda: Yay! I’m so excited we have our wedding pictures!
Karl (glancing up at your window): She totally needs to hang that fox
head facing the street.
Amanda: Oh my gosh I cannot wait to look at all of them!
Karl: It would be so cool, just looking out over the street, and you
could completely see it from outside.
Amanda: Which one do you think is your favorite? I love the one of
you waiting for me to come down the aisle.
Karl: She would really just need one more nail. It would be like a
5-second project. Should I offer to hang it up for her?
Amanda: This is so exciting! Our wedding pictures!
Karl: But really the thing that would be best is if you had one
person inside with the nail and hammer, and another person outside on
the street so you could position it just right for maximum visibility.
Amanda: picturespicturespictures
Karl: foxheadfoxheadfoxhead
