Monroe :: Wisconsin

Jennyface & I went to Monroe on vaca last week. I love to go on Wisconsin holidays. Mostly we went to eat lunch at my favorite- Baumgartners! They love cheese in Monroe & so do I. I had a cup of chili & a cheese sandwhich. From there we hit the hot spots in Monroe: the brewing company, swiss colony outlet stores, and maybe a couple more beers around town. Later in the afternoon we spent $11.50 on cheese curds. They were good but not $11.50 good. These were not from Baumgartners.

   That is a serious cheese sandwich! My cross country coach in high school used to talk about running in the Monroe Cheese Days 10K… he’d say, “Yep. I’m gonna compete for that big block of cholesterol again.” Because the prize was a block of cheese.
